We had such a great time with last year’s Uncertainty Festival that we thought we’d throw down again this year. So we’ve assembled what we feel are some of the greatest bands in Iowa for 3 days of local music goodness (last year it was only 2, so we’ve obviously swollen a bit).

Things like this don’t happen in a vacuum (in space no one can hear you sing). We are very fortunate indeed to have sponsors, who also happen to be some of the greatest local businesses around, and without them, we could not bring you all these sights and sounds, so here is a quick screamout to some of the folks who are making this event possible (otherwise they stay in that box like that imaginary cat that can’t decide if it’s dead or not).

OUR SPONSORS

London Underground – Our local watering hole, purveyor of fine cocktails, providers of entertainment, this institution has no televisions, because you’re going to want to talk to the people who slate their thirsts here. Like ’em on Facebook here.

Prints Copy Center – Without Prints, there would be no Nova Labs, very literally. They print all our digipaks and posters and flyers and banners and make buttons and the whole enchilada. Fantastic customer service, speedy service, high quality jobs with attention to detail, and a willingness to deal with any curveball you can throw at ’em.

Alluvial Brewing Co. – Makers of some of the finest beers in the state! We love their beer! Try the Lutris Pale Ale, and expand your palette from there. Like ’em on Facebook here.

Russell Piano Services – If you have a piano that you’ve had tuned, in all likelihood you’ve called Tom Russell. He’s tuned everything from the University’s huge Steinways to your grandma’s ancient upright in the corner to Bob Dylan’s piano.

Worldly Goods – An Ames institution for 3 decades, Worldly Goods believes in Fair Trade, sells goods from over 50 countries, and helps artisans all over the world develop their communities. Run by volunteers, you can feel great about any purchase you make here, because you’re very directly giving back to the world. Like ’em on Facebook here.
